Terminology

The following technical terms are introduced in alphabetical order.

Account Abstraction

A feature that separates the control of funds from the execution of smart contract logic in a blockchain. This enables users to interact with smart contracts without the need to hold or manage the cryptocurrency used to pay for transaction fees.

Avive

AVIVE is an innovative project that aims to create a decentralized, fair, and free social new world based on the metaverse, allowing all off-chain individuals to join the blockchain without barriers. It features various social elements such as LBS (Location-Based Services), SBT (Soul-Bound Identity), and DeSoc. For more information, please visit the official website to join.

DPoS

DPoS (Delegated Proof of Stake) is a consensus algorithm used in blockchain technology to achieve consensus on the network. In a DPoS system, token holders can vote to select a certain number of "delegates" who are responsible for validating transactions and creating new blocks. These delegates are incentivized to act in the best interest of the network, as they can earn transaction fees and newly minted tokens for their work.

Unlike PoW (Proof of Work) and PoS (Proof of Stake), DPoS is designed to be more energy-efficient and scalable, as it allows for faster block times and greater transaction throughput. However, DPoS is criticized by some for its potential centralization, as the power to validate transactions and create new blocks is concentrated in the hands of a few delegates.

LBS

LBS stands for Location-Based Services. It refers to a type of service that utilizes the location information of a user's mobile device to provide customized and location-specific information or features. LBS can be used in a variety of applications, including social media, navigation, and mobile advertising. By leveraging location data, LBS can improve the user experience by providing relevant and timely information based on their physical location.

SBT

SBT, or "Soul-Bound Token," is a concept introduced by Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin on August 31st. It refers to a token that represents a person's "soul" or unique identity and can be used to authenticate and authorize actions on decentralized systems. The idea behind SBT is to create a secure and user-friendly way for individuals to interact with decentralized applications without the need for complex private key management.

Soul Force

The user's active social relationship network can be quantified by the professional algorithm of AVIVE, and this active social relationship network is referred to as "soul force".

PoN

"PoN" refers to "Proof of Networking+DPoS", which is a unique consensus algorithm used by AVIVE. It involves staking the quantified Soul Force using the AVIVE professional algorithm, and obtaining opportunities to package and verify blocks based on the weight of the staked Soul Force. For more information on this consensus algorithm, please refer to the consensus algorithm section.

PoS

PoS stands for Proof of Stake, which is a consensus mechanism used in blockchain technology to validate transactions and create new blocks. In PoS, validators, also called "stakers," are chosen to create new blocks and validate transactions based on the amount of cryptocurrency they have staked, or locked up, in the network. The more cryptocurrency a staker has, the more likely they are to be chosen to validate transactions and create new blocks. PoS is considered to be more energy-efficient than other consensus mechanisms, such as Proof of Work (PoW).

Validator

In a PoN+DPoS consensus algorithm, validators are responsible for confirming transactions and creating new blocks. These validators stake their own cryptocurrency as collateral to ensure they have a financial incentive to act honestly and prevent any malicious behavior.

In the case of AVIVE, which uses Soul Force as its staking cryptocurrency, DPoS validators stake their Soul Force to earn the right to validate transactions and create new blocks. The amount of Soul Force a validator stakes can affect their chances of being chosen to validate transactions and receive block rewards. Validators who act maliciously or fail to meet their obligations can have their Soul Force slashed as a penalty.

zkEVM

zkEVM (Zero-Knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine) is a technology that allows for private and scalable smart contract execution on Ethereum. It combines the privacy-preserving properties of zero-knowledge proofs with the functionality of the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) to enable secure and efficient execution of smart contracts. zkEVM enables the execution of smart contracts without revealing the details of the contract or its inputs, while still allowing for validation of the results. This provides a significant improvement over traditional smart contract execution, which is typically public and visible to anyone on the blockchain.

zkRollup

zkRollup is a Layer 2 scaling solution for blockchain networks that allows for high throughput and low transaction costs by bundling multiple transactions together into a single transaction, which is then verified off-chain using zero-knowledge proofs (zkSNARKs). This approach greatly reduces the amount of on-chain computation required for verifying each transaction, enabling much higher throughput than the base layer blockchain. zkRollup provides strong security guarantees by allowing anyone to verify the validity of the bundled transactions without needing to execute them, and by ensuring that the correctness of the entire bundle is only dependent on the correctness of the zkSNARK proof.
